New Jersey residents can now choose from a list of furnished apartments, scotchesdale residents can also buy a home on a rental basis.
The New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs says it has approved the new rental apartment program, which allows landlords to offer rental apartments and scotchdales to tenants of a home.
The state has made some changes to its housing rules, including adding more rental units in recent years, but the number of units is still capped at 100.
It also now requires a certain number of bedrooms in each apartment to qualify.
As a result, more than 100 apartments will be open to rent from April 30 through July 31.
The first apartment to be offered for rent in the new program will be the one on Scotiabank Blvd., at 101-102 Scotiacousy Drive, in Scotiapoo.
It will be located in the building formerly occupied by The Post Office, at 101 Scotiagowood Drive, which opened in 2009.
The new Scotiawood Drive apartment will have two bedrooms, two baths, and a full kitchen, and the rent will be $1,200 a month, according to the agency.
It is also expected to have a full laundry facility, a laundry closet, a storage area, and storage, as well as two garages.
The apartment will be available to rent for six months.
A separate building, at 130 Scotiadores Blvd., is also slated to open this fall as a rental home, with a total of six units for rent, according the agency website.
A Scotiataowns apartment will open in July, with the number expected to be 10.
A second apartment, at 136 Scotiagos Blvd., will be a full-time unit, with no rent.
The Scotiakos apartments will have a combined total of 12 units, but rent will start at $1.25 a month and will be capped at $800 per month, as is the case with the Scotiayas.
The agency says it will have more details about the new apartments and rental properties in coming months.
